I bet you even don't give a damn about Rolf's lyrics, otherwise the difference between what Rolf says/sings and what he does right now would strike but it obviously doesn't. And where do you have your ears that you didn't hear the basslines? Maybe you're someone of those who believe true metal is only good if the sound of music makes your ears bleed. So probably the loudness took your ears and your brain, right?
